Dan and Scott had me back on the Teach and Retire Rich podcast for those who might be interested.

Items mentioned in the podcast.
- Time to Buy! Buy! Buy! (Service Credit, 2025 Edition) (purchasing service credit)
- Our Current Portfolio and Recent Returns (tax allocation)
- Who Has the Best Pension? (pension comparison spreadsheet)
- Salary Schedule Lanes: Your Million Dollar (or Two or Three) Decision (salary schedule)
- Invest Half Your Raises (emphasizing one strategy)
- Health Insurance and Using Your HSA as a Stealth Retirement Account (HSA as retirement account)
- TL;DR Financial Literacy Series (books for 40 (and counting) state and city pension plans, plus one book for Young Adults)
Why no bonds in your first circle graph? We are retired from teaching in CA and thought you were supposed to hold 60/40 or 70/30 in stocks/bonds. My kids are teachers/counselors and are in retirement glide funds with CALSTRS P 2 or Vanguard.
Thanks for all your educational writings on finance. It is a little late for us because we made our decisions a while back but you are such a knowledgeable and prolific writer. BTW, Are you available for fee only consultations in CA? Nancy nlwilcox55@gmail.com

I’m not a financial planner. I’m happy to try to answer any questions you have for free if you reach out via email and I feel knowledgeable enough, but that’s not financial planning.
