I watched the Finding The Money documentary last night. I recommend it for anyone who is curious about economics or simply how money works. While you may not agree with everything they say, I think it will help everyone think more deeply about how money and our economy works and perhaps make you question the narrative you have in your head.

To be sure, this supports many of my priors so I’m likely a bit biased, but I still think that even if you don’t share my priors it will make you stop, think, and perhaps modify your own understanding and beliefs. The story we’ve been told (and that we tell ourselves) about money may not be quite as simple as most people thought.
You can rent or purchase it through many streaming services but, because I’m me, I watched it for free on Kanopy using my Douglas County Public Library account. If you want to go deeper, then The Deficit Myth is a pretty good in-depth exploration of these ideas.
